What type of wood do you sell?

Our firewood is seasoned air-dried hardwood. All of which has been sourced sustainably from our woodlands on the estate.

What type of hardwood is it?

The wood is a mixture of beech, birch, oak and sycamore.

What’s the moisture content of the logs?

The moisture content is usually between 20 and 33% which is fine for woodburning stoves.  We store our logs in wooden potato boxes to facilitate the drying process further and to allow air to continue to circulate.

What size are the logs?

Our log dimensions are typically around 10” in length which is suitable for most stoves.  If you have one of the smaller models we can cut them smaller on demand.

What quantity do you sell it by?

We sell our logs by the cubic metre.  Visually, it’s a generous builder’s bag of logs!

Do you deliver?

Yes we are happy to deliver to your door, usually on a Tuesday or Thursday.  There is a small charge for delivery to cover the fuel, depending on where you stay.
